The Special Prosecution Office concludes investigations into the cocaine trafficking group from Latin America to Albania.
The prosecution has initiated the communication of the closure of the investigations for the suspects who were arrested in November 2024, following an investigation conducted by Prosecutor Adnan Xholi.
Suspected of drug trafficking are citizens Geis Gejsullai, Klajd Birçe, Aldi Zonja, Artion Ccaushllari, Endi Sejdini, Ismail Abdurrahmani, Baki Huqi and three foreign citizens, 2 of whom are Venezuelan and one Colombian.
The investigation into cocaine trafficking began after a tip-off about a drug laboratory in Frakull, Fier, where a large quantity of cocaine, 485 kg, hidden in chemical waste, was discovered by police near the apartment of former local official Viktor Ccervanaku.
The prosecution divided the case into factions and followed the trail of another criminal group, which was transporting cocaine from America to Albania through animal skins.
