Horror/ Python rode on the roof of a house in Australia

Shocking video has captured the moment a 5-metre-long python slithers onto the roof of a family's home in Australia as they enjoy lunch.

The video has amassed over 12 million views on TikTok, as followers gasp at the sight of the massive reptile crawling across the roof of the house and poking its head out of a tree. It then moves until it exits the roof of the house and disappears into the trees.

"Only in Australia will you see a 5m long snake in the suburbs," reads the caption of the video, which was filmed in Queensland.

Footage shows the massive python gliding spectacularly from the roof of a house. At one point, the snake pokes its head out of the tree and looks at the world it sees.

"It's terrible, isn't it?" someone wrote in his comment.

"How will we get rid of it?", asks a child, while a woman answers: "We will not get rid of it".

Herpetologist Snake Catcher Dan warns people not to get too close to these wild reptiles as, although they are not normally dangerous to humans, they will bite if they feel threatened.
