Sali Berisha was summoned today at 10:00 to SPAK, to be questioned in connection with the investigations of January 21, by the prosecutor of the case, Alfred Shehu, as a person who has knowledge of the killing of 4 protesters on the boulevard, who were shot with bullets from the Prime Minister's Office building when Berisha was in power.
Although the summons was sent to 3 addresses, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha did not appear at SPAK to account for the state crime of January 21.
SPAK told the media that the subpoenas were rejected with the note "Guards are authorized not to take any envelopes."
Speaking to the media, Sali Berisha was asked about SPAK's recent reaction that he had twice refused the summons and he said:
"An absolute lie. Those guards are responsible people, who have handed me every kind of document that has come there. And when the judicial bodies have had it, they have considered it necessary, they have sent it by motorbike, with court employees, etc., and what they say has never happened. Tell them to close it, block that number because they have a fraud agency. Yes, every day. No email has come to me. I do not have an email in parliament, but I do have my own email. I do not use email in parliament. It is not the email that communicates, delivers and signs the one who receives the notification. After these conversations, they allegedly sent emails or opened a Castilian email account for me for this work. ", said Berisha.
