"Ora News" has learned that a month ago a criminal college of the Supreme Court decided to overturn the 25-year prison sentence given by the Durres Court of Appeal for the murders of Ilir Xhunga and Arben Paja, an event that occurred in June 1999.

Through this decision given by the Court of Appeal, Iri or as he is known in Vlora as "Tori of Jihane", he was released from prison.

But as it has dissolved the sentence of 25 years, the Supreme Court has ordered to allow the decision of the Court of First Instance in Durres, which sentenced Viktor Imeri to life imprisonment.

Currently Imeri is in a criminal proceeding at the Special Court SPAK, where he is accused of executing businessmen Vajdin Lamaj and Artan Arsin in February 2005 along with others such as Emiljano Shullazi and Indrit Taulla.

Sources explained to Ora News that even if Victor Imeri wins innocence in this criminal process, he will still not be released from prison because of the life sentence that the Supreme Court decided a few days ago.

Imeri is one of the most famous names of the world of crime in Vlora, and is known as a close friend of Edison Harizaj and Gazmend Braka alias "Gaxhait".

In June 1999, Immeri and Gazmend Braka attacked Durres with automatics and counteracted the two trusted men of The Obscenity, Ilir Xhungë and Arben Paja.

From this attack both were dead in the country, while Gaxhai and Iman were arrested by police that same day at a doctor's apartment in the city of Durres, while they had entered to hide.

For this event Gazmend Braka was sentenced to life imprisonment where he continues to serve prison. After 24 years of the crime, the Supreme Court sentenced Victor Imerin to life in prison.

Viktor Ymeri was also sentenced by Italian justice to 24 years in prison for the murder of Gëzim Muca and the wounding of Taulant Maska on the street "Via dellaTraversa del Grill" in Rome.

According to the Italian decision Viktor Ymeri (Imeraj) allias Tomor Ncucaj, in cooperation with another person, on February 12, 1996, at about 20:00, on the street "Via dellaTraversa del Grill" in Rome, he shot a gun on the vehicle "BMË", inside which were Gëzim Muça and Taulant Maska, resulting in the death of Gëzim Muça and the wounding of Taulant Maska. The mask managed to escape by running away from the vehicle he was in.

Who is Victor Ymeri from Vlora?

Viktor Ymeri is the uncle of Edison Harizaj, a character well known for the crime world of Vlora and not only.

Edison was shot dead in Durres with 52 bullets while returning to Vlora along with one of his friends Genci Caci, who was killed in this mafia assassination.

The murder of Edison Harizaj, was carried out just 7 days after Victor Ymeri had dropped his life sentence for executing Arben Pajas and Ilir Xhunga, receiving a 25-year prison sentence.

At the same time Viktor Ymeri was considered by the police and the prosecution as one of the closest people to Gazmend Braka, (Gaxhai) sentenced to life imprisonment, after together in June 1999, they executed dozens of kalashnikov bullets arben Paja and Ilir Xhungë, who were part of another criminal faction in Durres.

Fillimisht Paja dhe Xhunga të cilët po udhëtonin me një furgon tip “Citroen” në afërsi të Drejtorisë së Policisë Durrës, janë qëlluar me një predhë kundërtanku, e cila edhe pse ka prekur parakolpin e furgonit, fatmirësisht nuk ka plasur.

Pas kësaj, mbi Pajën dhe Xhungën janë derdhur breshëri automatiku kallashnikovi, të cilat vinin nga katër krahë, duke i lënë të vdekur në vend.

Për këtë ngjarje policia e Durrësit në atë kohë arrestoi brenda shtëpisë së një doktori në Durrës, Gazmend Brakën dhe Viktor Ymerin.
