Footage of the arrest of Kristjan Sterjo, the 20-year-old suspected of being the author of the murder of Joan Zuko, has been released.

Sterjo was arrested at midnight by the Korça Police, in collaboration with RENEA forces, near the metropolitan police station, as he was returning to his apartment to get money and continue his escape.

During the moment of handcuffing, the police are heard telling the suspect: "Lie down on the ground."


It is suspected that on August 8, Sterjo shot 20-year-old Joan Zuko with a Kalashnikov, following a conflict that had started earlier between them.

According to the testimony of the suspected perpetrator, the conflict between the two young men was related to several previous episodes, while one of the causes that allegedly led to the escalation of the situation was the harassment of the suspected perpetrator's girlfriend.

But, in addition to this conflict, investigators are also considering previous clashes between the two young men, who allegedly had arguments over claims about who was the "strongest" in the neighborhood.
