One of the six people injured by a gas cylinder explosion in the village of Markatomaj, Lezha, on August 29, has died.

The victim is 40-year-old Saimir Kola, who had been receiving specialized treatment in Italy for 12 days. Despite the efforts of doctors, he was unable to survive the severe injuries caused by the explosion.

It is learned that Kola had suffered burns on about 90% of his body surface, making his health condition critical.

The explosion occurred on August 29 in the Kola family's apartment in Markatomaj. As a result of the explosion, six family members were injured, while the 40-year-old was transported to Italy for specialized treatment.

After 12 days under the care of Italian doctors, Saimir Kola has passed away, bringing the death toll from the serious incident to one.
