At the conclusion of the judges' meeting regarding the salary impasse, they have come up with a decision.
They have appealed to the relevant institutions and the President of the country to put an end to this issue and transfer their salaries according to the decision of the Constitutional Court.
"The judiciary does not seek superiority over other institutions, but seeks what belongs to it. The final decision is not suspended, the legal obligation is not held hostage, salaries must be unblocked and the decision must be implemented immediately," said Magistrate Alda Sadiku.
She stated that if their demands are not met, the measures will escalate to the temporary suspension of all their work, with the exception of matters of particular importance.
"The constitutional guarantee cannot depend on the institution that administers public funds. Any objection to the decision of the Constitutional Court must be pursued through legal channels."
The Treasury cannot be transformed from an execution mechanism into a suspension mechanism. There is no longer room for postponements or partial solutions that allow the situation to continue.
"Immediate, complete and verifiable decisions are needed from the institutions," the official statement says.
