Erion Brache calculated the average expenditure that fuel points have, and according to his calculations they have a large margin compared to the expenditures that the government and the transparency board recognize when determining the prices of the sale of oil, gasoline and gas.
"Their expenses are those known under the law for tax procedures, nothing else. The reference should only be legal and not what one wants there and the other across there. 405,000 leks are known to you little points, while they are no more than 328 thousand leks. 787,000 pounds of expenses are known to the average points, while they have no more than 542 thousand leks and 3.8 mln lek are familiar with the expenses of the major points, while their expenses do not go more than 1.4 mln lek", Brache said during a session at the Economy Commission with representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
Brache said the fuel market is deformed and controlled by two people. He didn't mention names, but the biggest importer is Shefqes Castrati. The MP charged that the latter is determining prices in the market using scholarships as justification.
"How many brokers are they who sell oil in Albania, that in my knowledge of the system two come out? Scholarships don't sell today for tomorrow. The stock market is and does not come up with this price, but those who are wholesale in this country and these brokers have not bought today for tomorrow. The market has major competition problems, are obvious as long as we go and build a board to control abuse. The price is fair and be the product of demand and supply and not of these that invent expenses", Brache said.
The Socialist MP demanded that monopolies be dismantled in this market.
