"They sold cocaine near beaches, nightclubs and schools", the court

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda has imposed the personal security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" for 20 people, suspected of the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", provided for by Article 283/1/2 of the Criminal Code.

The security measure was requested by the Saranda Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of the criminal proceedings no. 442 of 2026, initiated following the referral information forwarded by the Saranda Police Commissariat.

According to the investigations, the suspects, in collaboration with each other, are believed to have been involved in the distribution of narcotics, mainly cocaine, but also cannabis.

It is suspected that the activity took place in various areas of Saranda and Ksamil, especially on promenades, beaches, near venues frequented by young people, as well as in beach bars, where according to investigations, tourists were also targeted.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Saranda, the security measure 'Arrest with imprisonment' was granted to 20 people, accused of the criminal offense 'Production and sale of narcotics' provided for by article 283/1/2 of the Criminal Code.

From the investigations on criminal proceedings no. 442 of 2026, initiated on the basis of reference information received from the Saranda Police Commissariat, it resulted that the citizens in question, in cooperation with each other, distributed various types of narcotics, mainly cocaine but also cannabis. The distribution was carried out by them in the city of Saranda and Ksamil, mainly in the promenade area, on the beaches, near the gymnasiums as well as in the Beach Bars for tourists.

It is suspected that this activity also involves foreign citizens who contact the accused citizens to purchase bulk doses and distribute them in the Ksamil and Saranda areas. The narcotic cannabis sativa is suspected to be obtained from the village of Shenvasil or surrounding villages.

In view of this proceeding, during a two-month period, simulated actions were carried out, environmental interceptions were carried out where the sale of narcotics was also documented and citizens AN, AC and KJ were previously arrested, from whom 4 kg of cannabis narcotics were seized. The sold doses of narcotics ranged from 0.3g to 3.5g, while the prices of the doses ranged from 2000 lek to 35,000 lek for different types of narcotics.

Based on the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda, it was decided to assign the security measure 'arrest in prison' to the 20 people under investigation:

During the execution of the decision to impose security measures and the decision to allow the search, two firearms belonging to the persons under investigation, DS and Sh.B., were found in the apartment and seized, among other things.
