"We don't want to leave"/ Medical students address the deputies:

A representation of medical students was heard today at the Media Commission, where they also expressed their concern about the law that forces them not to leave the country after completing their studies.

One of the medical students called on the deputies not to pass that bill, as it has no arguments and is not transparent.

The student said that she is not ashamed to work in Albania, but they should be motivated to stay in the country.

She said that it is not right that the degree is held hostage after completing the studies.

" You are talking endlessly about us and say that we have been consulted. But in fact, the students are telling you not to do it because you have no arguments to base it on, you don't have transparent documents, you don't have accurate accounts, you are violating our rights.

Medical students are not ashamed to work all their lives in Albania and to serve because a part of us have left the scholarships abroad. You tell us you don't love Albania, that you will leave. No, keep us, motivate us because we want to stay, we don't want to leave.

I am 23 years old and at the age of 24 I will not see my diploma because they will hold me hostage, as you have seen and heard. It is not easy to study medicine for 6 years. We all know what conditions I have ", said the student, among other things.
