Landslide in Librazhd threatens to collapse 110 kilovolt high voltage pole
The pillar that risks collapsing

An alarming situation has been identified on the 110 kilovolt high-voltage line Librazhd - Egnatia Hydropower Plant, where pylon number 15 in the place called Arrat e Gurrës in Dragostunjë is at risk of collapse due to landslides and subsidence of the soil at its base.

The pole in question supplies power not only to the Librazhd area, but is also connected to Prrenjas. If it collapses, two municipalities could be left without electricity. The alternative solution envisaged is supply through the Prrenjas substation, until the situation stabilizes.

The situation becomes even more worrying as the transmission line passes over the national road, in the place known as "Dragostunja Bends", posing a direct danger to users of this road in the event of a collapse.

Detailed monitoring was carried out at the scene after the landslide, while specialists from the Transmission System Operator (OST) have ordered continuous monitoring of the situation and planning for the urgent diversion of the high-voltage line, to avoid any risk to the lives of citizens.

Authorities are closely monitoring the development of the situation, while immediate technical intervention is expected to guarantee energy security and the protection of national road users.
