Nertil Buzi, the suspected perpetrator of the murder of his ex-father-in-law, the injury of his ex-mother-in-law and the kidnapping of his ex-fiancée in a village in Roskovec, has been surrounded by RENEA Special Forces in Kurjan and refuses to surrender.

From preliminary reports, the officers present in the area where Nertil Buzi alias Refit Buzi, 35, is trapped, say that he is threatening to kill himself as he is in a serious psychological and emotional state.

The young man who today turned into a murderer, four years ago was held hostage by his compatriots who beat him for a week and sent his photos to his family, demanding 400 thousand pounds, or Nertil would be killed. The cause was the clashes over "bar houses" in England.

It was his brother who went to the police in October 2022 and reported that Nertil had been taken hostage and tortured by 7 people, all Albanian citizens. Immediately, a police operation codenamed "Hostage" was organized by the State Police, in cooperation with the Metropolitan Police and with the assistance of the British NCA.

The timely exchange of information made it possible to find and release the 30-year-old from Albania, who had been taken hostage in England by Albanian citizens identified as persons with criminal records in England.

British police arrested Nekid Arapi, 26, John Guveli, 28, Fation Arapi, 27, Armando Brahashaj, 26, Eduart Cepele, 30, and Emanulea Arapi, 28. Another person remained unidentified.

The investigative structures of the State Police have received information that Nertil Buzi, at the time 30 years old, had been taken hostage in England by persons with criminal activity, who were demanding 400 thousand pounds in exchange for his release.

The State Police immediately exchanged the information received with the British Police, thanks to which the British Police conducted the police operation codenamed "Hostage".

"As part of the operation, it was possible to find and release the hostage, who is now safely in the custody of British police authorities. As part of the operation, 7 Albanian citizens who had taken the 30-year-old hostage were arrested," the Police announced at the time.

Today, Nertil Buzi alias Refit Buzi has returned to being the suspected murderer of his ex-father-in-law and the wounding of his ex-mother-in-law, as well as the kidnapping of his ex-fiancée. The 35-year-old is holed up in Kurjan, where RENEAS negotiators are doing everything they can to get him to surrender, because the risk is too high because Nertil is armed.
