Yesterday, a video of a mother named Files and her son with autism spectrum disorder, who tried to go home but were stopped by pepper spray being thrown at protesters, went viral. The fear in the boy's eyes and the mother's tears touched the hearts of many Albanians. This led to the collection of 128,000 dollars on a GoFundMe page for them in record time.
This money is expected to help this family, which lives in very difficult conditions, to provide a safer home and therapy for the boy.
Meanwhile, from the extended meeting with the Socialists, Edi Rama has told another version of the story. According to him, the protesters used that mother as a shield, so that she would feel their empathy and not that of the government, which according to Rama, has doubled support for autistic children.
He accuses those who, as before, he calls the "crows and ravens" of the boulevard of having taken him with them only to turn him into a victim of the police.
"And then they put her in front of the camera, raped her, and brought her out to the parliament to cry her sorrow," the head of government said, among other things.
"The flamingos showed us the wound so we could close it, the crows and ravens scratch it to keep it open as long as possible."
They demand proof of our empathy, while the crows demand blood. The flamingos told us and I am returning to my stories, with a story that I believe you have all seen: that mother with the autistic child whom the crows had taken to Parliament to turn into a victim of the police who were there to protect the deputies from the violent blind men of Albania.
We have just doubled our support for autistic children, but the experience for that mother is different, because she has never felt our empathy.
It was right there at the end of the gap that the crows and ravens inserted their hand of hypocritical solidarity to take it to Parliament and accuse it, using it as a shield while they attacked the State Police with masks.
"And then they put her in front of the camera, raped her, and took her out to the parliament to cry her heart out. They turned her tears into hail, through the algorithm, then left her and headed for the microphone on the boulevard," the prime minister said.
