Difficult intervention performed at QSUNT: Head tumor removed through eyebrow

The team of doctors at the University Hospital Center in Tirana successfully performed a difficult intervention on a 34-year-old woman, removing a tumor from her head through her eyebrow. 

The intervention, which was performed using a mini-invasive technique through the eyebrow, made it possible to completely remove the 3 cm brain tumor without any incisions in the head, without any scars, and without damaging the patient's sense of smell.

The doctors who participated in this operation were Prof. Dr. Artur Xhumari, neurosurgeon, Head of the Neurosurgery Service, QSUNT, Dr. Myfit Saraçi, anesthesiologist-resuscitator, instrument nurse, Dr. Maren Ruka, neurosurgeon, instrument nurse Ritvana Gjura and circulating nurse, Angjela Gjona.

Following this news, Prime Minister Rama, through a post on social media, expressed gratitude to the medical team, while also publishing 2 photos taken during the operation.
