Sisal Albania's reaction: We do not carry out gambling activities in Albania

Following the publication of the article entitled " Sisal Albania gambling under investigation: 13 complaints for illegal activities, 7 cases still open at the HIDAKKI ", on August 13, 2026, Sisal Albania Sh.pk has forwarded a request for clarification and publication of corrections regarding some of the data and wording used in the article.

The company clarifies that the reports referred to the HIDACCI should not be interpreted as evidence of criminal or illegal activity and emphasizes that Sisal Albania Sh.pk does not carry out gambling or betting activities in Albania.

Dear Voxnews.al Editorial Team,

We are writing to you regarding the article titled "Sisal Albania gambling company under investigation: 13 complaints for illegal activities, 7 cases still open at the HIDAKKI", published on your platform on August 13, 2026.

We would like to draw your attention to certain inaccuracies and issues which, in our view, may give readers an incomplete or misleading understanding of the facts relating to Sisal Albania Shpk.

In particular:

According to Law No. 96/2025, which regulates the reporting of concerns and alleged irregularities, the 13 cases referred to the HIDACCI relate to administrative whistleblowing reports, submitted and handled within the applicable legal framework. Their existence should not be interpreted as evidence of criminal or illegal activity, nor as a finding of any violation by Sisal Albania Shpk or its employees.
References to “criminal activity”, “illegal activities” or similar characterizations do not accurately reflect the nature or status of these reports.
The article contains references to dates that appear inconsistent with the establishment of Sisal Albania Shpk in Albania in April 2019 and we would ask that these data be reviewed.
Sisal Albania Shpk does not carry out gambling or betting activities in Albania. The company provides support services to other companies within the Group, including technological development and customer care services.
Sisal Albania Shpk operates in accordance with applicable Albanian laws and regulations and remains committed to the principles of integrity, transparency and responsible business conduct.

We appreciate that the way these issues have been presented may have an unfair and potentially damaging impact on the reputation and image of Sisal Albania Shpk. We believe that these issues can be addressed in an appropriate manner and, if necessary, we reserve the right to take appropriate steps to protect the legitimate interests and reputation of the company.
