The head of the KLP, Alfred Balla, in a television interview, spoke about the vacancies in the prosecutor's office and the difficulties in the judicial system.
Balla emphasized that so far two of the prosecutors dismissed from the vetting, and Antoneta Sevdari, have won the right to the Court of Strasbourg, while adding that the decision of their return to work belongs to a constitutional body. He emphasized that it is up to the government to find the form of their retrial.
"Until now, two of the prosecutors who have won a right at the Strasbourg Court are Mr. Cani and Mrs. Sevdari, who are former members of the High Council of Prosecution.
Cani has requested a review of our decision, we have not interfered with the vetting process that belongs to a constitutional body to re-judge.
It is the duty of the government to find the form of how this retrial will take place. We have not made a decision, and any interpretation that is made of our project is excessive and premature because no one can influence the decision-making of the Council", said Balla.
We remind you that some time ago the International Monitoring Operation has expressed its concern regarding a draft decision which is being considered by the High Council of the Procuratorate, which, according to ONM, would bring back Besnik Canin, already dismissed, to the ranks of the prosecutor's office. from the vetting.
Through an official statement ONM expresses concern that if the HCJ will take into account a draft decision, the reform in justice would be violated, since the decision would contradict the final decision of the Special Appeal Board.
ONM declares that the decision of the KPA remains in force, until the case is retried, opposing the prosecutor's return to duty.
