The identification of the third author, Florind Shabani, as a participant in the murder of Roland Rexhepi, was carried out through a DNA analysis.

A blood profile of Shabani was discovered by the criminal police in a mask found inside a white "Reneault" van, where the perpetrators of the crime had been waiting for Roland Rexhepi.

Yes, inside the van, 7 cigarette butts were found, two of which were labeled with tobacco brands. Florind Shabani's DNA was also found on one of the cigarette butts, which shows that he was part of the group that killed Roland Rexhepi.

But through the analysis of DNA on the tails of other cigarettes and strands of hair found in another mask, discovered very close to the throwing of the machine gun, in 2009 the police of Elbasan identified two of the perpetrators participating in this crime.

Armand Llakaj and Marjus Tafaj, were arrested earlier in 2009 and sentenced in 2012 by the court of Elbasan, respectively, to 25 and 23 years of imprisonment and currently continue to remain in prison.

While Florind Shabani alias "Paçuku" has been located and arrested in the "Augsburg-Gabligen" prison in Germany, where he was serving a sentence for the charge of "Committing sexual intercourse with violence".

Now he has been extradited from Germany and will face in court on the charge of murder. According to the prosecution, the murder of "Doda" turns out to be the result of a clash between 2 families, Çapja and Mema in Elbasan.

Two years after the murder of former police officer Roland Rexhepi, on December 30, 2011, his brother, Ilir Rexhepi, was killed in an assassination attempt in Elbasan.

Mihal alias Geni Toshi, who collaborated with another person from Korça with A. Çollaku, has been identified as the perpetrator of this crime.

But because cigarette butts with different DNA and other trace profiles were found inside the van, the prosecutor's office conducted a comparative dactyloscopic examination with a wide range of people.

The file states that the tracks found at the scene were compared with the tracks of citizens Ardjan Çapja, Florenc Çapja, Fejzulla Çapja, Agron Çapja, Enver Çapja, Bledar Muça, Sajmir Bako, Fatjon Hasa, Elvis Fetahu, Elis Killa, Dritan Hida, Alban Balliu, Dritan Myrta, Sajmir Osmani, Hysen Tafa, Viktor Tafa, Aurel Boç i . But none of them had the same traces found in the "Renault" van.
