Journalist Algert Harizaj spoke in a live broadcast from Vlora for "Now with Erla Mëhillin" regarding the tourist season, while emphasizing that the protests have not affected the influx of vacationers.
According to him, based on what is seen every day in the field, tourists have not considered the protest as a factor influencing their choice of destination, while he stated that recent events have given more attention to the area of Sazan, Karaburun and Zvërnec.
"From what I see on the ground every day, citizens have not had an indicator of the impact of the protest, but from what can be seen, the protest has given more fame to the city of Vlora and the beaches of Zvërnec, Karaburun and Sazan. Whoever comes to Vlora, one day has a definite destination: Sazan, Karaburun and Porto Novo," said Harizaj.
He added that these destinations continue to register a high number of visitors every day.
"From the information I have and from the information from the Vlora Captaincy, around 1,000 people go to these destinations every day.
"There is more demand for the islands of Sazan and Karaburun. There are hundreds of dinghies, speedboats and tourist vehicles that make their way to Sazan and Karaburun every day," the journalist said.
