The company "Zvërnec South Adriatic Development" has reacted after the tensions recorded today in Zvërnec between protesters and project representatives.

Through a statement to the media, the company expressed regret for what it calls "abuse of public sentiment" and an attempt to undermine an investment that is expected to be worth over 4 billion euros.

According to the company, the fence was placed in strict compliance with the law on a private property it owns. The company explained that the investors have an undisputed international track record and aim to turn Vlora into one of the most important tourism destinations in the Mediterranean, contributing 3 to 4% to the country's GDP within the next 5 years.

The company says that the investment is expected to directly and indirectly create over 10,000 new jobs, becoming an economic engine for the Vlora region and all of Albania.

With deep regret that public sentiment is being abused on social networks and investments are being made to undermine a colossal undertaking for tourism and the Albanian economy, the company "Zvërnec South Adriatic Development" informs the press and public opinion as follows:

In strict compliance with Albanian legislation and in continuous dialogue with the responsible institutions, the company has managed to launch the initial phase of one of the largest investments in the field of tourism in the Mediterranean Sea, by legally establishing the enclosure of the private property it possesses.

As the company is developing the final construction project, with the ambition to achieve the highest architectural and environmental standards, and the project has not yet been presented, we find ourselves forced to provide some explanations:

The investment is expected to reach a value of over 4 billion euros, contributing to an increase of 3 to 4% in Albania's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in the next 5 years.

The investment will fully take care of preserving the environment and biodiversity of the area, and for this, the investors have engaged the most prominent global competencies for 2 years for relevant environmental studies. Which will undoubtedly be shared not only with institutions, but also with the public.

The investment will directly and indirectly create over 10,000 (ten thousand) new jobs, becoming an important engine for the economy of the area, the Vlora district and all of Albania.

Based on the previous experiences of investors, who have a portfolio among the most prominent globally in the field of tourism, the company believes that the secondary investments that will follow will significantly increase the entire value chain of the local economy, from the value of real estate in the entire Vlora area to the diversification of the economic offer and the level of wages for the area.

Investors have a meaningful track record of close community engagement in each of their investments, as well as social responsibility, which is part of the work planning and will begin with the project.

In the meantime, we highlight below some truths covered by the fog of media abuse:

The land on which the project will be developed is privately owned meter by meter and the company has purchased it from the legal owners, with notarized ownership certificates. All transfers of purchases related to ownership have been carried out through the banking system and are easily verifiable.

All employees who have been employed or will be further employed in the project are and will be subject to relevant contracts under Albanian legislation.

All steps followed by the company are based on Albanian legislation and in full compliance with the relevant authorizations at every step.

The construction project, like the environmental one, is being finalized by some of the best studios in the world and once completed, it will be shared publicly with all interested parties.

The company has signed agreements with some of the most renowned brands of global excellence in the field of hospitality and other services, from restaurants and bars to sports or educational activities.

Investors have an absolutely undisputed career and own companies listed on international stock exchanges, as well as undisputed capital by anyone.
