The KLA War Veterans Organization has reacted to the statement of the Vetëvendosje Movement, accusing this political entity of trying to politicize the protest to be held in Tirana on October 17.

In its announcement, the KLA OVL emphasizes that the protest is not partisan in nature, but represents the voice of the Albanian people, veterans, families of martyrs and all those who seek justice for the KLA leaders who are being tried in The Hague. “This protest is not of any political party, it is the voice of the Albanian people. There is no political force that can stop or appropriate this voice,” the reaction states.

KLA veterans emphasize that they will not allow "the holy war of the Kosovo Liberation Army to be used for partisan interests," underlining that the only goal is the demand for justice and punishment for crimes committed by Serbia.

"The Tirana protest is a protest of the nation, not of parties. Thousands of Albanians from all over the world will be there to show that the KLA is the honor of the nation," it further states.
