Three state police officers have been suspended from duty after posting a video showing them punching a 15-year-old during their arrest today in Fushë-Mezez.

The state police said they violated the regulations during the arrest of the minor who was caught moving with a firearm.

The State Police Response:

The Director of the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, after being introduced to a video published on the social network JOQ, in which 3 police employees who violate the state police regulations, during the operational actions for the arrest of a 15-year-old who was circulating with a firearm in Fushë-Ezez, immediately suspended from duty 3 police officers, Specifically:

Inspector R.H., acting as a general patrol officer at police station No. 6;
Inspector B.A., acting as a general patrol officer at police station No.6;
- Deputy Commissioner A. K., with the task of order specialist at Police Station No.6.

Meanwhile, the General Director of the State Police in the application of Article 121 of Law No. 82, 2024 "Per State Police" has ordered the Directorate of Professional Standards to initiate disciplinary performance against police employees for serious violations.

The State Police thanks the media and citizens who denounce the cases of abuse of duty by police officers and again invites them to denounce any such case, guaranteeing an immediate and impartial response.
