Two prosecutors of the Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK), Ervin Gogaj and Alfred Shehu have been suspended from duty.
The reason for their suspension was the complaint of the prosecutor Sonila Muhametaj, who was disqualified by the High Prosecution Council (KLP).
The two prosecutors, who are already suspended, and Muhametaj, competed for the two vacancies announced by the KLP for SPAK. Muhametaj was not selected and appealed the decision to the Administrative Court.
The court has assessed as irregular the procedures for the election of two prosecutors, Gogaj and Shehu, and that the procedure in which the competition took place should be reviewed.
Currently, SPAK has 17 prosecutors and with their suspension, this institution already has 15 such. In its staff, SPAK should have 20 prosecutors.
