With 78 votes in favor, Ismail Shehu was elected today by the Assembly as chairman of the Public Procurement Commission.
In the vote on Shehu's candidacy, there were only 5 votes against and 2 abstentions.
Meanwhile, Edvin Simo, Donika Daci and Nertil Kanina were elected members.
Vox News had announced Shehu's election a few days ago, in an article dated July 11.
He is considered a man of Ulsi Manja.
This is because Shehu previously held the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice.
It is reported that in today's vote there were some behind-the-scenes incidents and a "uprising" by Bledi Çuçi.
The latter wanted Enea Hoti to be elected and not Ismail Shehu.
It is said that it took the intervention of Edi Rama himself to calm Çuçi down and ultimately vote for Shehu.
