He had gone on vacation in Orikum, a 75-year-old man from Tirana lost his life

An Albanian vacationer lost his life today on Orikum beach, with suspicions of a heart attack.

According to preliminary information, the 75-year-old man from Tirana had come for vacation with his family. At around 11:30, as soon as he entered the sea, he felt unwell and lost consciousness.

It was the vacationers and his family who immediately pulled him ashore and called for help. The Orikum ambulance arrived at the scene, while medical personnel performed resuscitation maneuvers, but were unable to bring him back to life.

It is initially suspected that the cause of death was a heart attack, while the full circumstances of the event are expected to be confirmed by the relevant authorities.
