Frost and minus 12 degrees, IPH issues notice to Albanians: Take these measures!

Albania during these days will be in the presence of sub-zero temperatures. In many mountainous areas of the country the thermometer has recorded -16 degrees Celsius, causing frost to cause problems with water supply and power outages for some villages in the northeast and southeast.

Citizens should be careful during these cold days with their clothing before leaving the house.

The Institute of Public Health through a post on social networks has given some tips for everyone in these frosty days, to protect yourself from the cold.

"Use warm clothing, thick sweaters, wind and rain resistant sweaters, hats, gloves, waterproof shoes.

Throw sand or other recommended materials in areas where there is frost.

Read the safety rules for the outdoors.

Move slowly when performing work and tasks outdoors.

Go out accompanied and get an ambulance when you participate in outdoor activities.

"Do not forget to get your mobile phone", it is said in the IPH post.

Meanwhile, we remind you that due to the presence of the polar cold in our country, teaching in all pre-university schools has been suspended for three days, on January 24, 25 and 26, respectively.
