The Albanian Road Authority has announced the intervention near the Volloder quarries, for the construction of the Saranda bypass.

A controlled explosion with explosives will be carried out today, in order to open the road route.

"On 06.07.2026, starting from 09:00 to 10:00, as part of the construction works for the Saranda Bypass, near the village of Shën Vasil (near the Volloder quarries), a controlled explosion with small amounts of explosives will be carried out, in order to open the road route.

The work process has been coordinated with the State Police structures, which will take the necessary measures to manage traffic and guarantee traffic safety during the development of the works.

"We ask for the understanding of citizens and drivers until the full completion of this work process," the ARA announces.
