Public opinion was shocked today by the sudden death of Alban Bejler , the hero teacher who walked for miles to teach the two remaining students in the village of Marjan, Maliqi, despite living in Devoll himself.

After receiving the terrible news, his friends and family gave statements to the media, who, with heartbreak, recalled once again the hardworking, available, and special man that Albani was.

His uncle, Besim Bejleri,  "devastated" by the pain and with tears in his eyes, said that teacher Albani traveled about 7-8 kilometers to get to work.

" There are 17 teachers in our family, but he was special, quiet, hardworking and religious. He was a contributor to children. Politics makes you rest and raises you, you know these things. He was not at work then, when they brought him back to work, they took him to the Maliqi area, to a deep area. He had asked to be brought to Devoll, but now they have brought him.

He died in the middle of the road and left a great legacy. I appeal to all politicians, of every wing, that sick people should be close to their families. Be careful, politicians, do not make fun of the health of others, think about these people, about educators. He was a man with two universities and had been unemployed. He had been working for 5-6 years.

"He never complained, he would walk about 7 km to and from school. He would only go for two students," he says.
