The Tirana Court has remanded in prison 5 people arrested for the Call Center fraud scheme, which was busted a few days ago.

Kristjan Buda, who was the manager of the Call Center, was left in prison. While Benard Biba, Arber Kalaja, Kleidi Dyrma and Eno Hana were placed under "house arrest".

For two other people, Ema Taipi and Kristjana Shara, the court has imposed a ban on leaving the country and an obligation to report to the authorities.

Meanwhile, SPAK has completed the investigations and sent 8 people accused of computer fraud and participation in a structured criminal group for trial.

Citizens Emiljano Sejdillari, Sokol Krasniqi, Rodrigo Guga, Eltion Logu, Tafil Dyrmishi, Lisjane Çulani, Klejdi Nuka and Mateo Llozhi have been sent to trial.

The investigations began after a request from German authorities, regarding a case of fraud against a citizen in Freiburg, who was asked for 120 thousand euros.

According to the investigative file, the suspects used technologies such as phone number hiding, VoIP and VPN to defraud citizens in Germany, while tracking IP addresses led to the identification of their connections in Albania.

During the checks, a call center was discovered on "Hamdi Sina" Street in Tirana, where equipment and digital evidence were seized.

The documented damage to 14 people in Germany amounts to around 363 thousand euros, while several other attempts have been prevented before they were realized.

One of the suspects has been extradited from Germany to Albania.
