The three arrested members of the criminal group known as "Pepa" appeared this Friday before the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), where a hearing is being held to assess security measures.
The session is being led by Judge Alma Kodraliu, who previously signed the security measures in the consultation room for those arrested as part of the SPAK operation.
The Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) operation, undertaken a few days ago, hit a structured criminal group suspected of trafficking around 7.5 tons of cocaine internationally.
A total of 11 arrest warrants have been issued, but only 3 have been executed so far. The suspected leader of the group, Jetmir Pepa, remains at large.
In parallel with the arrests, SPAK has continued financial investigations, seizing assets worth millions of euros that are suspected of stemming from criminal activity.
