Two drivers have been fined and have up to 8 points deducted from their driving licenses after driving at a speed exceeding the speed limit on the Durrës-Tirana axis. On this axis, the maximum allowed speed is up to 90 km/h, but the two drivers were found to be driving at almost double this allowed speed.
One of them was traveling on this axis at 171 km/h and the other at 181 km/h. The Traffic Police appeal to drivers to say 'Stop speeding' and respect road traffic rules.
"Don't travel faster than life! 171 km/h to 181 km/h on the Durrës-Tirana road axis, where the allowed speed is 90 km/h."
Speeds that seriously endanger the lives of road users.
The Operational Unit of the Traffic Police Directorate has stopped and punished drivers with maximum measures and deductions of up to 8 points from their Driving License.
"Stop speeding! Do not risk your life and that of other road users! The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to strictly implement the traffic rules," the Traffic Police announces.
All national road axes and urban centers are monitored with intelligent means by the Operational Unit of the Traffic Police Directorate and the local Traffic Police in each district.
