A person wanted for murder and illegal possession of weapons has been arrested in Italy with the intention of extradition to Albania.

After the in-depth verifications carried out between the Albanian and Italian Police, the identification of the citizen accompanied by the ED was made this morning, the announcement states.

The police informs that the citizen ED was declared internationally wanted, by Interpol Tirana, for the criminal offenses "Murder" and "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, explosive weapons and military ammunition", in connection with the event that took place in 2021. in Velipoja, where 4 citizens were killed by gunfire.

The State Police thanks the Italian counterparts and the Italian Interforce office in Albania, for the excellent police cooperation in the interest of both countries and beyond.
