Lawyer Ulian Barjami is released

The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has decided on the immediate release of lawyer Ulian Bajrami.

He was released today, two days after being detained on suspicion of threatening the prosecutor in the courtroom.

According to reports, during the hearing and while objecting to the prosecutor's evidence, Bajrami told him that "I will personally deal with the prosecutor and the Judicial Police officers." This statement was later interpreted in various ways, but became the reason for his detention.

A number of institutions and public figures in the country came out against the judge's arrest, including the Chamber of Advocates, which announced a five-day boycott of the hearings.
