Who is the 20-year-old police officer whose gun was taken by the arrestee and injured?

The name and photo of the 20-year-old officer who was injured on Monday evening during the arrest of 45-year-old Zamir Skënderi was released today. The latter took the officer's gun and shot him in the leg. 

This is about police officer Arsen Toska who, for the past 3 days, has reportedly been receiving treatment at the Trauma Hospital after being wounded by Skënder who shot him in the thigh, causing serious injuries and temporary paralysis of his lower limbs.

The serious incident occurred on Monday evening, May 18, on the Fier-Dimal national highway, at the exit of the village of Kutalli, as three officers were transporting the escort towards the Kuçova Police Station.

Zamir Skënderi was sitting in the back seat of the police vehicle, where he took advantage of the circumstances to take the weapon from the officer accompanying him.

He shot the 20-year-old policeman in the thigh, while after the shooting, the other two officers reacted by neutralizing the 45-year-old.

The injured officer was initially transported to the Berat Regional Hospital and then to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where his life is out of danger and is receiving the necessary medical treatment.

During the physical search of the arrested person, the Police found a suspected quantity of cocaine hidden in his body, which was seized as material evidence.
