The Special Court against Crime and Corruption has rejected the request of the convict Fatmir Pjetri to remove him from the cells of the special regime 41Bis.

"The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Erjon Çela, based on articles 112 and 471 et seq. of the Criminal Code and article 17 of Law no. 81/2020, dated 25.06.2020 "On the rights and treatment of those sentenced to imprisonment and pre-trial detention", with decision No. 234, dated 06.11.2024, decided: Dismissing the request of the petitioner (convict) Fatmir Pjetri. Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime within 15 (fifteen) days, starting from the day after the communication of this decision", the Court's decision states.

Pjetri has been convicted as a member of the "Grandfather's Gang", and is serving a 30-year prison sentence for "armed robbery" and "criminal group".

In 2021, he became the protagonist of an escape attempt from prison 313 together with Arbër Çekaj. Peter has been isolated in 41bis since April 2024.

He is known as one of the most active members of this notorious gang, which has committed some of the most spectacular robberies in the country.
