The much-wanted Albanian justice, Leonard Duka, was extradited today from Belgium.

Accused of being the head of the "Duke" criminal group, he is accused of planning and carrying out the execution of Ervis Martinaj's right-hand man, Santiago Malko, in collaboration with six other people.

The duke arrived this Saturday at Rinas airport, where he was met by numerous police forces and was marched to the prison under strict security measures.

Duka, once Ervis Martinaj's business partner, allegedly turned into his enemy due to a large debt, a clash that paved the way for murders and assassinations.

The criminal events were discovered by decrypting messages in the encrypted "Sky ECC" app.

Interpol Tirana carries out the extradition from Belgium to Albania of the much wanted citizen LD

The Directorate of Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Brussels and the specialized structures of the State Police, carried out the extradition to our country of the citizen LD 

The citizen LD was declared an international wanted by Interpol Tirana, after the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Deliberate murder", committed in the special form of cooperation, "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Providing conditions for murder", "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization and structured criminal group".

From the investigations carried out, it has been found that the citizen LD and 6 other citizens are the suspected perpetrators of the incident that happened in 2019, on "Xhanfize Keko" street, Tirana, where the citizen SM was shot dead

Also, citizen LD, in cooperation with other citizens, planned the murder of citizens Er. Ma., Er. Mi. and other members of their group.

The General Directorate of the State Police thanks the Interpol Brussels Office, for the cooperation, and the units engaged in the successful implementation of the extradition operation.
