Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço has warned that the Special Prosecution Office is expected to issue a security measure against a member of the Albanian Parliament very soon.

Karamuço stressed that SPAK is investigating a notebook containing detailed descriptions of corruption money distributions. According to the expert, a woman brought this "valuable" notebook to SPAK and it is expected that concrete measures will be taken soon.

Ervin Karamuço did not provide details about the name of the MP or which political party the legislator belongs to. According to him, the notebook talks about large sums of money stashed in some of the apartments in the outskirts of Tirana.

"I know that recently there is an investigation underway and there may be concrete measures against a member of the Albanian Parliament. A notebook has been discovered. In this notebook, notes were noticed where this member of parliament has put other people who keep notes on how the corruption money frozen in some of the apartments in the outskirts of Tirana will be divided. This apartment belongs to so-and-so but it is for my account. An honorable lady has taken the notebook to SPAK. Investigations have begun and it is expected that there will be concrete measures against this member of parliament very soon. I cannot say his name or which political party he belongs to," said Karamuço.
