Monday was the day when the most road accidents occurred during the month of August. According to data released by INSTAT, 18.2% of accidents occurred on Mondays, while Tuesdays recorded the lowest number of collisions with 11.3%.

The Institute of Statistics also reports that the highest number of accidents occurred during the period from 19:00 to midnight, accounting for 23.3% of the number of all accidents.

During the eight months, the number of road accidents has decreased by 14.7%, compared to the same period a year ago. While in August of this year, there were 159 accidents, of which 229 were injured and killed.

Road accidents, in 91.2% of cases, occurred as a result of the driver's behavior.

The highest number of accidents, in this period, was committed by the 45-59 age group, accounting for 25.8% of the total number of accidents.
