The police of Shkodra have struck a case of cultivation of narcotic plants. The coded police operation "Gimaj" led to the arrest of citizens Elvis Dedendreaj and Mikel Ndreaj.

The narcotic plants were found in the place called "Pylli i Staneve te Gakut", in the village of Gimaj.

"Following the work to prevent, identify and combat criminal activity in the field of cultivation of narcotic plants, the services of the Shkodër Police Station have continued detailed controls of the territory, from the ground and from the air, using drones, as well as organized and successfully finalized the coded police operation "Gimaj".

As a result of which, in the place called "Pylli i Staneve te Gakut", in the village of Gimaj, in an open environment, in wooded terrain, suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants were found cultivated.

Following the control of the territory, in the vicinity of this environment it became possible to catch and arrest the citizens in flagrante delicto:

-ED, 25 years old, resident of Grudë e Re village, Shkodër and MN, 23 years old, resident of "3 Heronjte" neighborhood, Shkodër.

As a result of the detailed control of the territory by the Police services, it became possible to find and seize as material evidence an automatic firearm and combat ammunition, in an area near the area planted with narcotic plants.

The work continues for the complete documentation of this criminal activity, as well as the identification and capture of other persons involved in it.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Shkodër Judicial District Court, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", carried out in collaboration and "Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition", the police announced.
