The former head of the Operational Forces, Oltian Bistri, and his family have appealed to the Supreme Court, where they request the unlocking of the assets seized by order of SPAK.

The appeal is expected to be reviewed by a panel of judges, while the relator of the case has been appointed Sokol Binaj, Balkanweb reports.

By order of SPAK, 22 units (shops/business premises) were seized from Bistri; 10 apartments; 1 villa, 200 meters of land in the capital, a garage and a car.

Bistri was arrested in July 2023 as part of the operation coded "Metamorphosis". Together with Bistri, Pëllumb Gjoka, a well-known businessman, was also arrested, as well as the head of the Kukës Prosecutor's Office, Xhevahir Lita.
