Two tons of cocaine were seized during the police action in the suburb of Rothenburgsort, near the port of Hamburg.

Local authorities report that the large load of cocaine was found in a truck that tried to avoid scanning the container at the port.

The truck diverted, going to a private warehouse outside the port, where it was thought it was planned to remove the cocaine and replace the cargo with bananas.

The German media write that the arrested are between the ages of 21 and 43 and came from Germany, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Albania and India.

At least one of the arrested, connected to the cocaine that would be worth around 100 million euros, is Albanian.
