Forensics expert Ervin Karamuço has told a story of how one of his former students used the lessons he received to become a "professional" robber.
In a post on social networks, Karamuço writes that his former student had just been released from the Patra prison and was deported to Albania after serving his sentence for stealing several villas.
The former student of Karamuço had followed a 'trick' he had heard from the lectures during the robbery, not to use gloves as they left fingerprints, but to paint his fingers with "attack" glue.
"Professor, you prepared me to be a lawyer, but I used your lectures to be a successful thief in Greece. This was told to me yesterday by a former student of mine, who had just been released from Patra Prison and had been deported to Albania. I started with three others to rob villas, he said. I didn't wear gloves because you told us that when you take them off they still have footprints. So I used another method. I painted my fingers with "attack" glue and masked the papillary profiles. I was surprised for a while by the Greek police, because they were looking at me without gloves on the camera, but they couldn't find any traces at the scene. We were arrested after 6 months. We were discovered through a carelessness in the sale of stolen furniture. I served my sentence and now I am in Tirana. For a few moments I felt like I was an accomplice, I lowered my head, said goodbye and left", writes Karamuço.
