Former State Police officer, Krenar Ahmeti, has called on police officers to enforce the law and not orders to arrest peaceful protesters, who were handcuffed today at the rally in front of Parliament.
"I speak to you as a police officer who knows all the techniques and tactics well. I call on the entire police chain of command to only enforce the law, not illegal orders."
"Please, my colleagues, we are not for violence, but I give you my word that if we get 100-200 guys, we will give you… techniques and tactics," he said.
He asked his colleagues not to use violence against protesting citizens, but to leave them alone and only enforce the law.
"Let these people protest, because they have every natural right, God's right, the legitimate right to their demands."
"Please, don't make us oppose you," he said, adding that the citizens' victory over the government is close.
