46-year-old Admir Bejo was found dead today by family members in his apartment, in the "1 Maji" neighborhood in the city of Kuçova.

Right in the alley of the house in this neighborhood, on August 13, 2022, Admir Bejo was wounded with a firearm and was found lying on the street by a passerby who notified the police at the time.

Bejo was first transported to the Berat Regional Hospital and then to the Military Hospital in Tirana, while a day later the police identified and arrested the author of the injury, who turned out to be Bejo's neighbor and that he had shot him because of an unpaid debt .

But even though he escaped the assassination of 3 months ago, Admir Bejo passed away this morning and the first suspicions of the police are "the consumption of an overdose of narcotics". The dead body of the 46-year-old was transported to the morgue of the Regional Hospital of Berat, where the forensic autopsy determined "thrombosis in the lungs and heart" as the cause of death.

Bejo was known in the city as a regular user of narcotics for years, while police sources indicate that no signs of violence were found on his body. Admir Bejo was not an unknown name for the Albanian police.

In 2007, he together with his brother Ilija Bejon tried to kill the 2 brothers Ardian Kundja and Saimir Kundja. The attack on the latter was carried out around 8:00 am, while the two brothers were leaving the entrance of the building in which they lived.

After the shooting, the two perpetrators who thought they left their targets dead, quickly left the scene. After the assassination, the police confirmed that one of the tracks of the investigation was the old conflicts for a girl from Kuçova who had been living together for more than a year with Admir Bejo's brother, Ilia Bejon.
