Thanks to the cooperation and exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Washington, USA, in coordination with the DSS at the US embassy in Tirana, it became possible to capture in the USA and extradite to Albania, a citizen sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Following the cooperation with counterparts, the specialists of Interpol Tirana extradited Albanian citizen Lulëzim Sinaj, 40 years old, from New York, USA, to our country.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Fier Judicial District Court, in 2021, sentenced him to 25 years of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", against two or more persons, remaining in the attempt. and "Unauthorized production and possession of military weapons and ammunition".

Summary of the event:

On 12.03.2017, in Ballsh, the citizen Lulëzim Sinaj seriously wounded, with a firearm, the citizen E. Xh. and L. Xh. (his ex-wife's parents).

As a result of the cooperation between Interpol Tirana, Interpol Washington and DSS at the US embassy in Tirana, it became possible to arrest this citizen in the United States of America, being finalized with his extradition to our country.
