The Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan has closed the investigations and sent the file to the Court for the 7 people arrested in April 2021 for counterfeiting money. ABC has secured the file of the Prosecution where 6 years of prison is requested for the defendants, Klinton Boriçi, Jurgen Hoxha, David Kullaun, Fiqiri Koçin, Nikolla Leshanaku. Each of them is required to serve a sentence of 6 years, but if the Court accepts the request of the Prosecution, they will benefit from a shortened trial, a reduction of 1/3 of the sentence.
Meanwhile, a total of 9 years in prison has been requested for the defendant Andi Lamani. 6 years were requested for "forgery of money" and another 3 years for providing illegal assistance for border crossing. Even Adi Lamani will benefit from the reduction of 1/3 of the sentence due to the shortened trial.
Regarding the defendant Mikel Mukja, 34 years old, a resident of Elbasan, the case has been separated.
In the file provided by ABC, it is noted that the Economic Crime in Elbasan has received information that Andi Lamani and Klinton Boriçi were circulating counterfeit money. The police were able to confiscate them when they learned that this money was brought to Elbasan by Andi Lamani, a resident of Fier.
