The Special Court overturned Enkeleida Hoxha's lawyers' request to quell the move and release from prison of the former judge sentenced to two years in prison for corruption, Panorama journalist Nicoleta Kovaci reports.

Berisha's former colleagues refused the request, arguing that the sentence had not been met, even after the time of detention was estimated.

Her request was considered by Judges Miliana Muça, Igerta Hysi and Saida Dollani.

A few months ago, the Special Court sentenced former Judge Hoxha to 3 years, but because of the shortened judgment, benefited 1/3 from the reduction of the sentence.

Former Kumanovo judge Enkeleida Hoxha was charged with "passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials".

Black Platoons sentenced former Judge Hoxha to 3 years and sentenced him to five years of not exercising any public office. The sum of about 10,000 euros found in the residence of Enkelejda Hoxha has also been confiscated.

Former judge Enkelejda Hoxha and 9 other suspects were arrested in February 2021 at the behest of SPAK, after being charged with corruption and release of some "strongmen" sentenced to life imprisonment.
