67-year-old  Hysni Ymeri , who died after the explosion in Shkodra, is the brother of a person sentenced to prison for a murder that occurred many years ago in Shkodra.

In 1995, Shefqet Çekorja was killed in Kiras by Hysni Ymer's brother.

After that event, the perpetrator was arrested by the police, who solved the murder, and sentenced by the court.

Meanwhile, a few years later, according to sources, the two families reached out for reconciliation.

Shefqet Çekorja is the brother of Ismet Çekorja, who was killed in September 2022 near his apartment.

Hysni Ymer's son, who lives outside Albania, arrived on December 25 because his mother suffers from cancer and doctors have not given her much time to live.

Even before the event today, he was in the hospital with his mother.

The 67-year-old, after drinking coffee like every day with his neighborhood friends, was taken from the bar to go home and then to the hospital to his wife, but as soon as he entered the entrance of the building on the first floor, a powerful explosion occurred.  

Hysni Ymeri made it to the hospital alive, but died a few minutes later due to severe head injuries.

A few years ago, Hysni Ymer's uncle's son killed his wife and then shot himself.

Meanwhile, another cousin, citizen Dritan Ymeri, killed citizen Ilir Aliaj, a doctor by profession in Shkodra, in 2017 after a property conflict.

The perpetrator managed to escape from the police and is suspected to have been outside Albania since then.

The police are awaiting the final decision of the anti-terrorist unit on whether or not there was a TNT explosion in order to then give the proper direction to the investigation and determine whether it was criminal or accidental.
