A serious event has shocked public opinion since yesterday, where young Blerina Basha is suspected of abandoning her three minor children in an apartment in Durrës.

The incident was reported by Blerina's ex-mother-in-law , who published footage from the house where the three children lived and which, according to her, were infected with scabies.

On News24, Blerina's ex-mother-in-law confronted her ex-daughter-in-law.

Blerina's ex-mother-in-law: I lived in Italy. I'm 33 years old. (I) had a dog. I returned to Durrës. And I went back there. I went to meet my grandchildren. I thought the daughter-in-law would be there, she would wash and clean. I opened the door. And my second son opened it. When the door opened, I saw some cans. And I smelled a bad smell. I was shocked. I saw the children covered in blankets on the bed.

The big boy said ; Mom is taking me to Italy. His chin was trembling. What I saw there, I hadn't even seen on TV. I went into the bathroom...what should I see? I asked him if he had any money, the big boy said I have 50 thousand lek. I gave him lek. I couldn't stay there. I ran away from home...I called my son on the phone and he said "the children are dying". Then I called the police. Then there was a reaction. We entered the house and they saw the situation. I went to the police with the children. The lady came there in the afternoon.

She said "sir, I have to work 16 hours because I can't take care of them". I found out about the illness because she called and said "the children are sick with scabies". The first time I went. Because I live in Italy. I had met them in the summer. It was her birthday and we all got together. Because I knew. She said I would take care of the children. I told her to take them to Italy. I got on the bus and took her there, I took her by bus. Even though she was separated. She came to Albania for almost 5 months, and she didn't even know her home. I took care of them in Italy, she would leave and come. I took care of them. She abandoned them, that is. I filed documents for the children in Italy. She said she would take care of the children herself, because she had bought a bar and was a businesswoman. She received 1 million lek. The court gave custody of the children. Why did they get divorced? Don't you want some things to be made public. Who is that man who separates the mother of the children? Because these are private matters. The divorce was made by agreement. I didn't want to take the mother's three children from her breast, because I am a mother myself. We have helped her financially. I have given her everything. I still help her today. I have even dressed the children and the bride. My son, when he was 18 years old, was sentenced at that time to 8 months in prison. He is fine, he works as an electrician...

I went to the apartment, I didn't find her. The children told me that she was at the hairdresser's, I waited for her there for long hours. She made her hair curly and strong, 300 thousand lek and her nails. The child told her mom that she wouldn't go. I brought her cookies and chocolate, 100 euros, she made her grapes and plums. Even her parents helped her.

Blerina: I have left this matter to the state and the police, I no longer deal with them. The children are very well. I have never abandoned them, I would not be with them now. I left them in Italy because they returned to Albania for a case in Court, they returned me to Bari. I am an employee in a bar near the museum in Durrës. The mother-in-law can give many statements, the children are very well, I am with them.

Question: Did you ask your ex-husband for medication for scabies?

Blerina : I asked him for some medicine, and he told me I couldn't take it.

Question:  Did you or the children suffer?

Blerina: They had a skin infection, now everything is fine.

Question: How many hours do you work a day and where do the children stay during this time?

Blerina: From morning to night, I've been disconnected even during the day. Neither my father nor my grandmother has ever called my children.
