The European Parliament's Permanent Rapporteur for Albania, Mr. Andreas Schieder (S&D, Austria), has commented on the "Balluku" case, a topical issue for politics and the justice system.

When asked by journalists in Tirana whether the postponement of the procedures for Balluk's mandate would be reported, he said that the EP does not comment on legal and judicial issues.

" When you come to Albania, you read the press but you also listen to different actors. I must say that the EP does not comment on legal or judicial issues, but the institutions must do their job."

SPAK must do their job by finding and doing everything they think is necessary, and we have said that all institutions should support the work of SPAK.

As for the Albanian Parliament, I am sure that the appropriate discussions will be held and the appropriate decisions will be made based on the constitution," he said, adding: "It will then be brought to a plenary session. This is the same for the Austrian parliament where I have been a member for a long time. We have dealt with such issues.

In some cases, decisions can be made quickly, in other cases, the file must be viewed carefully. I learned that there is a deadline that has not expired, and this is not the time to make comments. All the actors in parliament have assured us that they are accountable for their responsibilities.
