An accident was recorded in the early hours of Friday morning on the Shishtavec-Kukës road.

A 49-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man.

The 49-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and is receiving medical attention, while the driver of the vehicle was escorted to the police station.

Kukës/Preliminary information 

"Around 06:15, on the "Shishtavec-Kukës" road axis, citizen GN, 30 years old, while driving a vehicle, is suspected of having hit citizen Sh. N., 49 years old, resident of Kukës, a pedestrian.

Citizen Sh. N. has been taken to the hospital and is under the care of doctors.

The driver of the vehicle was escorted to the premises of the Kukes Police Department for further action.

"The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police statement said.
